Any legal entity and any natural person over the age of 18 is entitled to participate in an auction.

How can I use NetBid?

How do I receive information about new offers on the website?

Would you like to be informed when we have interesting new machines on offer? We will be happy to send you our newsletter - sector-specific or as a monthly overview. You can enter your preferences by registering free of charge.

Is there a charge for registration?

No, registration on our website is free and non-binding.

What should I bear in mind when choosing a user name?

Please choose a user name - and note that this will be visible to third parties online when placing bids (the use of an e-mail address is not intended).

What should I bear in mind when choosing a password?

Please choose a password with at least 8 characters, including at least one number, one upper case letter and one lower case letter (the use of an e-mail address is not intended). Please make a note of the password you have chosen, as this will not be sent by e-mail.

Why can't I log in despite registering?

Immediately after completing the entry, you will receive a confirmation email with an activation link to the email address you provided. If necessary, please check your spam folder for emails from service@netbid.com. Please follow the activation link to activate your customer account.

Can I change my access data?

The user name you have chosen cannot be changed later. The password can be changed at any time. To do this, log in under "Login" or select "Forgot password".

How can I deactivate my account with NetBid?

To deactivate your account, please contact us in writing - preferably by e-mail from the e-mail address stored in your customer account. Your account will then be deactivated by us. All purchases and sales initiated up to this point will continue to be processed. In particular, all previously submitted bids and other obligations will remain valid.

When can I view the items before the auction?

The exact viewing times can be found with each item description. Viewings are open to the public, free of charge and take place at the times indicated or by appointment, if possible.

How does the bidding process differ between auction and trading?

In auctions, the bidding steps are predefined by the system. Alternatively, the bidding agent can also be used. In trading, bids above the starting price are possible and can be limited in time.

How can I bid for a position?

In an auction, the highest bid counts - the conditions are the same for all bidders. To be able to bid, register free of charge and without obligation on our website - at the top right under "Login" and then "Register now". If your bid is the highest at the end of the auction period, a purchase contract will be concluded between you and the seller on the basis of our General Terms and Conditions. You will be informed automatically by e-mail. The auctioned goods can only be collected after full payment of the purchase price (net plus buyer's premium + VAT) and receipt in the designated accounts. You will receive the pick-up slip, which entitles you to pick up the goods, to your e-mail address. Payment on site is not possible.

What is a bidding agent?

To avoid having to be online all the time during a bidding phase, you have the option of using a bidding agent. This agent takes care of placing bids for you. To do this, you define your personal maximum bid for the respective item. If your current bid is outbid, the bidding agent will continue bidding for you within the range you have specified. Since the first of several equal bids received will ultimately win the bid, you will always be first with bids from the bidding agent. Please note that the bids of the bidding agent are also binding for you.

Bids submitted are legally binding and cannot be withdrawn. If you win a bid, the purchase is legally binding.

How is the bid accepted at an auction?

A knockdown is made to the highest bidder at that time if the minimum price is reached or exceeded and the auction has ended. If a bid is placed 10 minutes or less before the end of the auction, the end of the auction is postponed by 10 minutes from the time the bid was placed. This can be repeated as often as desired until the highest bid remains for 10 minutes. The bid is accepted automatically.

What is the reserve price?

The minimum price determines the value at which the item can be knocked down. If this price is not achieved by the end of the auction period, the bid can only be accepted subject to reservation. If the minimum price is reached or exceeded, the bid is automatically accepted after the end of the auction period.

Why does an auction sometimes end later than announced?

Each auction always ends at the time specified. However, if bids are received within the last 10 minutes before expiry, the period is automatically extended by a further 10 minutes. This procedure will continue until only the highest bid for the last 10 minutes has been received. This is intended to enable you as a bidder to have a smooth process even in the final phase.

What is meant by "conditional acceptance"?

If the minimum price is not reached by the end of the auction period, the item will be knocked down subject to reservation. This means that there is no right to purchase the item and you are bound by your bid within the reserve period (usually 7 calendar days, but this may vary). NetBid will now contact the seller to determine whether a sale could also be concluded at a lower price. Within the reservation period, you and others can place further bids online so that the minimum price can still be reached if necessary.

How is the award made in trading?

In trading, the bid is accepted manually. The seller is free to choose which of the bids received to accept.

Why is it not possible to bid on some positions?

We also display items that are not sold or auctioned online. Bids on these items can then only be accepted as written bids. Further information is available via our hotline or at service@netbid.com.

What are block positions?

In some auctions, so-called block items are also offered parallel to the individual items. The block items then contain various individual items. The individual items in question and the associated block item are bid on and initially knocked down subject to reservation. After the final award, the bid amount of the individual items is compared with the bid amount of the block item. Depending on which sum is higher, the final knockdowns are made and the buyers are informed.

What are the costs of a surcharge?

All prices quoted on our website are net plus surcharge and plus VAT. The surcharges on the platform are in EURO. All other currencies are shown for information purposes only. As a rule, NetBid charges a premium of 18% on the hammer price. Any surcharges deviating from this rule will be clearly indicated.

What are the payment terms?

We will notify the successful bidder by e-mail immediately after the knockdown. We will send you two separate invoices as PDF files - separated according to the value of the goods and the premium - which must be paid to separate accounts. You can find the amounts and bank details on the attached overview sheet. Please note that the invoices are due immediately and collection can only take place after full payment and subsequent receipt of the collection bill. Payment on site is not possible.

When can I collect the items I have purchased at auction?

The auctioned items can be collected after the full purchase price has been credited to our account (see payment modalities) and the collection slip has been received. As a rule, the time slots specified for collection are advertised online. These will be communicated again when the pick-up slip is sent.

Who is responsible for dismantling and transporting the auctioned items?

There is expressly no delivery. You buy the items from NetBid on site "as they stand and lie". After full payment, the buyer is responsible for dismantling and transportation. NetBid can provide support and arrange suitable dismantling and transportation companies, which the buyer can commission.

When does the transfer of ownership take place?

The items are deemed to have been transferred to the buyer subject to retention of title upon acceptance of the bid. Ownership of the items shall only pass to the buyer after full payment of the purchase price, the commission and the statutory VAT and after receipt of the collection bill.

How secure is my data?

All personal data is transmitted exclusively in SSL-encrypted form. The data stored by NetBid is used exclusively for the smooth processing of business operations. Further information can be found on our "Data protection" page.
