The 1822 has the great advantage that it has a multiple control, i.e. you can control the second traction unit from the first and thus practically twice the power for the traction of heavy trains. Furthermore, this multiple control is based on the remote control concept of ÖBB, i.e. this multiple control is also compatible with other traction units that use the remote control concept.
This makes it possible, for example to carry out pre-tensioning services for heavy trains on ramp lines with large gradients/gradients that can be provided as a service for other utilities. Furthermore, the traction unit on such lines is also suitable for pushing, i.e. heavy trains are pushed from behind.

Both electric locomotives are in excellent and running condition. A revision of the bogies is recommended. Necessary deadline and investigation work was carried out on an ongoing basis. Initial topics with the electronics could be corrected professionally. A functional test is possible at any time on site.
